I like fishing. I think it's a reel fun sport. I got hooked on it last summer. My friend thought I was foolish for doing it. She just shrugged her shoulders and said, "whatever floats your boat". I think she was upset I was spending more time on the boat than with her. I think she was just being shellfish. I tried to trick her into coming along. She didn't take the bait. I was hoping I could lure her into just giving it a shot. She didn't bite. Not even a nibble. I tried to get her to explain why she hated it so much. She wouldn't say. She started to clam up. I was getting crabby.
It was a beautiful clear day out on the water. I could sea for miles. I wanted to take a nap. There was no one to wake me. A little later, I decided to throw out my line. I turned on the radio to listen to a few tunas. The water got a little choppy and the radio fell into the water. It hit a dolphin swimming by. "It was an accident", I told him, "I didn't to it on porpoise". He gave me a dirty look. I flexed my mussels and yelled at him to go away. He didn't respond - I think he was hard of herring. I decided to eat my lunch. I was stuffed to the gills. The boat started rocking. I began to get eel. I decided that was enough, so I started heading back in just for the halibut. I came back empty handed. Well, what can I say... you fin some, you lose some.
